MEASURE 3. Number of surveys with density and/or abundance estimations for Amazonian priority species

ISSUE

Knowledge regarding the density and/or abundance of Amazon priority species within the priority landscapes.

DEFINITION

Surveys count multiple times if there are estimates of more than one Amazon priority species in the same survey, and/or if there are estimates of the same species on more than one occasion at the same locality.

RESULTS

Cumulative results reported 807 abundance and/or density surveys. To date Bolivia and Peru still dominate this Measure due to the long-term research and monitoring programs in the Greater Madidi-Tambopata and Yaviri-Samiria Landscapes
