MEASURE 20. Number of hectares with land-tenure legally sanctioned

ISSUE

Contribution to securing land tenure within the priority landscapes as a critical step towards sustainable management and administration of territorial units.

DEFINITION

WCS has to be able to show that it contributed with technical, financial and/or legal support that was critical in securing the land tenure.

RESULTS

A total of 714,228 hectares have been legally sanctioned to date with assistance from WCS across the Amazon landscapes.
