MEASURE 2. Number of localities with density and/or abundance estimations for Amazonian priority species

ISSUE

Knowledge regarding the density and/or abundance of Amazon priority species within the priority landscapes.

DEFINITION

Localities count multiple times if there are estimates of more than one Amazon priority species at the locality, but not if there are estimates of the same Amazon priority species on more than one occasion at that same locality.

RESULTS

Results for the pre-1999 to 2015 period revealed that a total of 68 localities across the participating landscapes were sampled for one or more Amazon priority species for a total of 385 density and/or abundance estimates from a total of 63 species.
