Abstract
Free self-paced online course geared towards teaching the initial steps of the Open Standards. These standards, developed and maintained by the Conservation Measures Partnership, bring together common concepts, approaches, and terminology used across the conservation community to enable practitioners, teams, and organizations to answer key questions they face. The course is a series of short modules complete with examples and additional resource references that all combined allow the users to work their way through the first two steps of the Open Standards at their own pace and to focus on the components most critical to them at any given point in their project cycle. Course materials were provided by the following member organizations of the Conservation Measures Partnership: Foundations of Success, The Nature Conservancy, and the Wildlife Conservation Society.
