Abstract
Since the 1950s, extractive industries have expanded and the network of accompanying roads has spread throughout the Southern Canadian Rockies region. The purpose of this report is to inform discussions and decisions about land and resource management in the proposed South Saskatchewan River Land Use Plan. The conservation value of over 6,000 square kilometres in southern Alberta for a suite of vulnerable fish and wildlife species is assessed and land management recommendations are presented.
