Abstract
The winter ecology of Arctic lemmings, which live beneath the snow for up to eight months each year, is poorly understood. This study evaluates a method of live trapping lemmings under the snow using trapping boxes, a minimally invasive technique that has the potential to dramatically improve current understanding of this species.
