Abstract
Community-based land-use planning is the process being implemented with interested First Nations in Ontario’s Far North, under the Far North Act, 2010. The goal is to provide certainty for both protection and development in the area of interest for planning. Our main concerns are the ability of community-based land-use planning to deliver on the objectives of the Far North Act, 2010. We are supportive of the vision and mission statement of the Constance Lake First Nation Terms of Reference (ToR) and provide suggestions on various topics that CLFN could consider in further planning discussions with the Ontario’ Ministry of Natural Resources.
