Author(s)
WCS Vietnam
Abstract
Phong Nha - Ke bang National Park is a critically important location for biodiversity preservation in Viet Nam. This publication consolidates reviews conducted on Vietnam’s legal framework for dealing with illegal wildlife trade and links this to conversation at Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. The publication also assesses the status of wildlife and timber trafficking in and around Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park by conducting surveys at locations such as wildlife restaurants and of wildlife traders. The report determined that there was still substantial trade occurring out of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
