Abstract
WCS Education recognizes the impact that informal science education programs can have on interest in science and conservation, and we are committed to delivering these experiences to all students. During the 2021 2022 school year, we facilitated nearly 3,400 programs for over 85,000 students . These programs enabled learners to connect with wildlife and wild places, online through our virtual field trips and career panels or in person at their schools or during a visit to one of our five parks. This report describes the programs’ reach and impact using registration information and teacher surveys. The evaluation aimed to document participants’ needs, the learning context, and how both changed over the course of the year. Results provide insight into how our work connects students to science and nature, as well as ways we can continue to advance our practice.
