Abstract
938/5000 The Caetetus Ecological Station is home to one of the last remnants of the interior Atlantic Forest (Semidecidual Seasonal Forest) in the State of São Paulo, being particularly relevant for the excellent state of conservation of the ecosystem and the presence of endangered species, among which stands out the black tamarin (Leontopithecus chrysopygus). This Management Plan was designed to guide the decisions and administrative activities, with a view to the conservation of this precious ecosystem. Participatory methodology was adopted, involving different sectors of the community, supported by an extensive and detailed characterization of the Unit's natural resources. The final document presents the zoning of the protected area and the management of natural resource management and protection activities, research and public use, in a manner consistent with the objectives of creating the Unit, its potential and the demands of the community.
