Provides a broad overview of the livelihood issues affecting the Adirondack Park and how these relate to each of the major resources found in the Park (forest lands, water, wind, wildlife, non-timber forest products). Discussion on governance and community-based approaches included. This is a chapter in WCS Working Paper 32, Protected Areas and Human Livelihoods.
