Abstract
759/5000 Saguinus bicolor and S. midas maintains an unusual biogeographic relationship between Brazilian primates and S. bicolor is one of the most endemic and endangered primate species of the neotropics. Predictive maps of the geographic distributions of S. bicolor and S.midas, and maps of probabilities of contact occurrence were generated, suggesting the interaction determining allopathy. It was observed the association between the two species demonstrating a peaceful interaction, at least part of the year. Comparing the data obtained in this study with previous data, a significant reduction of the distribution area of S. bicolor was verified, indicating that this one, according to the data obtained in this study, currently seems to be restricted to the west of the Urubu river.
