Abstract
WCS partnered with the Open Space Institute to examine the way that biodiversity-animals, plants, and natural communities-is being managed on several large working forests with conservation easements. It attempts to describe what there is in Northern forests that needs protecting, how this might be best protected, how well protection is being implemented on existing easements, and how it might be improved on future ones.
