Abstract
Between 20‐21 September 2010, members of the PAC facilitated a workshop in Nadave for administrators from Fiji's 14 provinces to describe the progress under PoWPA. In addition, technical experts provided background information on several processes undertaken in Fiji since the 1980s to identify sites of national and global importance for protection. The main goal of the workshop was to identify candidate sites for protection and management within each province which could simultaneously satisfy national and provincial biodiversity conservation and resource management objectives. This report details the outcomes of the material presented, candidate sites identified and strategies for implementation within each province.
