Title
COST EVALUATION OF INFECTIOUS-DISEASE MONITORING AND SCREENING PROGRAMS FOR WILDLIFE TRANSLOCATION AND REINTRODUCTION

Abstract
Little information is available on the actual costs incurred in identifying and monitoring the infectious disease status of wildlife intended for translocation and reintroduction. Accurate cost estimates of translocation and reintroduction programs are essential to make decisions concerning planning and implementation processes. Postproject analysis of costs and effectiveness will provide the objective data needed by organizations when planning similar projects or determining future funding requirements. A simple, systematic, and comprehensive cost accounting method for projects is presented.
