Abstract
All around the world, pelagic birdwatching is revolutionising our knowledge of the world’s seabirds and their distribution. In the Asia Pacific Region, whilst the ferries of Japan have long been p o p u l a r wi t h b i r d e r s a n d p e l a g i c t r i p s f r om Australia have run for many years, up until recently the offshore waters of South and South-East Asia were almost completely neglected.
