Title
Nagarahole: Limits and opportunities in wildlife conservation
Author(s)
Karanth, K. U.
Published
2002
Abstract
This chapter summarizes critical quantitative ecological data on Nagarahole National Park (Karnataka, India) and examines the emergence of current resource use conflicts. Conservation interventions (official law enforcement, community-based conservation, ecotourism, and non-governmental conservation interventions) are then described, examining which approach worked, or did not work, in this long-term, landscape-scale, conservation experiment.
