Extent of the application and implementation of sustainable territorial management visions.
DEFINITION
For this measure, we count any formalized natural resource management plan, subsistence or commercial. Initially, this measure considered only government approved management plans, however, the majority of participants felt that community approved plans should also count towards this measure. All agreed that an approved plan should also implicitly mean that the plan is under implementation.
RESULTS
Between 2001 and 2015 a total of 1,187,774.2 hectares from 35 of the reported 60 community natural resource projects (Measure 12) are included in formal natural resource management plans for community initiatives.
