Abstract
A Grievance Redress and Feedback Mechanism (GRFM) is an essential tool for safeguarding the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities as they engage with government, civil society and the private sector. This document describes how Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) developed and implemented a locally trusted and effective GRFM for relatively isolated communities within and bordering the Okapi Wildlife Reserve (OWR) in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
